UNC Office of Technology Development (OTD)

The Office of Technology Development serves the university and public by licensing discoveries developed by faculty, students, and staff.  The OTD sponsors seminars in technology commercialization every second Thursday of the month.

UNC Office of Postdoctoral Services

The Office of Postdoctoral Services supports and promotes postdoctoral training and prepares postdoctoral scholars for successful careers.  This office offers several training and career development programs throughout the year. 

Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED)

RTP-based nonprofit entrepreneurial support organization founded to stimulate the creation and growth of high-impact companies in the greater Research Triangle area.  The CED hosts numerous programs focused on business and entrepreneurship.  Many events are related to the life science industry, such as the Biotechnology forum.

North Carolina Biotechnology Center

The Biotechnology Center’s mission is to provide long-term economic benefits to North Carolina through support of biotechnology research, education, and business statewide.  The Center hosts science forums and offers several small grants for research and education.

N.C. Biosciences Organization (NCBIO)

NCBIO, an affiliate of the national Biotechnology Industry Organization, is a trade association that advocates federal, state, and local public policy designed to help the bioscience industry. 

North Carolina Medical Device Organization (NCMD)

Nonprofit organization focused on positioning North Carolina’s medical device and diagnostic industry as a research, development, and production world leader.  NCMD provides training programs and hosts events related to the medical device industry.
