Industry Focus is devoted to events and resources
related to biotechnology and the life science industry in general.
One of CSBN’s objectives is to provide opportunities
for members to acquire knowledge and experience in bio-business. There is
growing need in the biotech and life science industries for scientists
possessing some degree of business acumen. Individuals who obtain such
business skills to complement their scientific expertise have a distinct
advantage over those who do not. The events and resources provided in this
section aim to enable members to gain such knowledge and experience.
University competitions such as the Carolina Challenge,
TEAM-UP, and the Venture Capital Investment Competition® provide
opportunities for students to develop new skills and gain valuable
experience outside of their traditional coursework
