 Dr. Ginger Rothrock is the Principle Technologist and Co-Founder of Liquidia Technologies. Ginger will discuss her involvement in the development of novel technologies while a graduate student at UNC that resulted in the formation of Liquidia and the potential roles of students in entrepreneurship at UNC. Ginger received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from UNC in 2005 and was a member of Professor Joseph DeSimone's research group. While a graduate student, she was involved in the development of a nanotechnology platform that can be used in materials and life science fields. She helped spin Liquidia Technologies out of the University with Professor DeSimone and colleagues, and has been an employee since she defended. Dr. Rothrock is responsible for Liquidia’s IP portfolio, as well as serving as the technical liason for business development and government opportunities. She is named as an inventor on 17 patents and applications relevant to Liquidia’s PRINT® technology. Prior to her graduate studies, Dr. Rothrock was a scientist at the EPA, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Novartis
